Born in Hong Kong in 1979, I was educated in the USA, Germany, and Japan.

I began acting and dancing while attending Macalester College and returned to Japan at the age of 22.

Since then, I worked in Tokyo as a dancer and bilingual voice actor, and an English teacher for 15 years at foreign companies and university hospitals.

 

As a voice actor, I have 22 years of experience and have narrated and played characters for multiple English educational materials, anime, documentaries, and commercials. Some of my biggest works include playing Vector on Japangle (NHK/PBS), Nikki on the Shimajiro series, and Jojo on TODO ENGLISH.

As an English script writer, I've worked on multiple programs on NHK Educational TV and NHK WORLD.

As a translator and copywriter, I've translated for digital marketing, corporate promotional videos, company mission statements, and web content.

Using my experience in performance and language teaching,I coach actors and artists in the entertainment industry and am a regular simultaneous interpreter and translator for Yoshiki Channel.

I'm passionate about helping clients and artists overcome language concerns. To help clients incorporate mindfulness at work, I was certified as a RYT200 Yoga Alliance yoga coach in 2022. I'm a language lover who speaks English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, and Chinese.
