・About the Musical

The musical Leap of Faith is based on the 1992 film starring Steve Martin. Adapted for the stage in 2010, the show later made its Broadway debut with Raúl Esparza as the lead.
The score features music by Alan Menken (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid) and lyrics by Glenn Slater (Tangled, School of Rock), two of Broadway’s most celebrated creators. Blending powerful gospel-inspired music with humor and heart, the musical tells an uplifting story about belief, redemption, and the unexpected miracles that can happen when faith is put to the test.

This Japanese production is directed by Jennifer Tang, an emerging British director whose work has been acclaimed at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and in London’s West End. She was also selected for ELLE UK’s 2020 Hot List, which highlights innovators shaping the worlds of fashion, culture, and politics.
